Overview
The Bihar STET (Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test) is a state-level exam in Bihar, India, that assesses candidates' eligibility to teach in secondary (Classes 9-10) and higher secondary (Classes 11-12) government and government-aided schools. Clearing the test provides a lifetime STET qualification certificate, allowing candidates to apply for teaching positions in these schools. The exam is conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) and covers various subjects for different teaching levels.
The primary purpose of the Bihar STET is to determine if candidates are qualified to be teachers in Bihar's secondary and higher secondary schools. A valid STET certificate makes a candidate eligible to apply for recruitment drives conducted by the Bihar government for these teaching positions. The STET certificate has a lifetime validity, meaning it doesn't expire after a certain period.
