Overview
The "HITS exam" refers to entrance exams conducted by the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) in Chennai. Hits exam is an online exam for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Des programs at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai.
The university administers two main tests:
· HITSEEE: The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination, for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Des programs.
· HITSCAT: The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test, for various non-engineering undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
HITSEEE Details
The HITSEEE is a university-level online entrance exam held annually.
Exam format:
· Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
· Total Questions: 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
· Sections: 40 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
Eligibility criteria for HITSEEE Exam
· Candidates must have passed or be appearing for their 12th-grade or equivalent examination.
· Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. A third science subject like Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science is also required.
· Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks needed in the qualifying subjects.
· Candidate must have attained 16 years and 6 months of age by July 31st of the application year.
· Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply through HITSEEE.
HITSCAT Details
The HITSCAT is for admission to HITS's undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields outside of engineering.
Eligibility Criteria for HITSCAT Exam
The eligibility requirements vary depending on the course. For example, a candidate for the B.Des program must have a 10+2 diploma with 50% marks, while an MBA candidate needs a three-year bachelor's degree with 50% marks.
Exam Pattern
· The exam has two parts:
o Part A: Questions on English and General Knowledge.
o Part B: Multiple-choice questions specific to the chosen subject.
