LPUNEST is the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test, a computer-based exam for admission into a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It also serves as a scholarship exam, awarding scholarships based on a candidate's performance. It is mandatory for admission to many programs, such as B.Tech and MBA, and serves as an optional scholarship test for others.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university located in Phagwara, Punjab, India. Established in 2005, it is one of the country's largest private universities, known for its extensive range of programs, large student body, and infrastructure.

Eligibility Criteria for LPUNEST

1.     Candidates must have completed or appeared for their 10+2 (or equivalent) final examination from a recognized board.

2.     Candidate must be Indian citizens. 

Program-Specific Criteria

Eligibility criteria vary by the specific undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) program. 

For B. Tech (B.E. / B.Tech.) Programs 

·         Academic Qualification: 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and English.

For Hotel Management (BHMCT) and BSc (Hotel Management) 

·         Academic Qualification: 10+2 with 50% aggregate marks.

For B. Design Programs

·         Academic Qualification: 10+2 with English or any equivalent exam. 

·         Direct Admission: Candidates scoring 70% or more in their 10+2 can apply for direct admission. 

For B.Tech Biotechnology and Food Processing 

·         Subject Requirements: In addition to other requirements, candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology in their 10+2.

For PG Programs (e.g., MBA, M. Tech) 

·         Academic Qualification: Candidates must have completed their graduation from a University or Institution recognized by the UGC.

LPUNEST Exam Pattern

The LPUNEST exam pattern varies by course but generally involves an online, computer-based test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and sometimes fill-in-the-blanks. The exam duration, total number of questions, and subject choices differ for each program, such as B.Tech or BBA. For B.Tech, there are typically 100 questions across four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Math/Biology, and English), with no negative marking.
