The University of Kerala is a public state university located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Founded in 1937 as the University of Travancore, it is one of the oldest universities in India. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited with an "A++" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
It offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral programs across various fields, including Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Management, and Engineering. Admission to most undergraduate programs is based on merit through a Centralised Allotment Process. For postgraduate courses, admission is often based on an entrance exam conducted by the university. Entrance Exams for admission in University of Kerala
The University of Kerala does not have a general entrance exam for all admissions, most undergraduate (UG) programs use merit in the qualifying exam, while postgraduate (PG) programs may have a university-conducted entrance exam. The central university entrance exam for undergraduate programs is the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
For Undergraduate (UG) Admissions
· Common University Entrance Test (CUET): From 2022, admissions to the University of Kerala for undergraduate programs are based on the CUET (Common University Entrance Exam) .
For Postgraduate (PG) Admissions
· University-Specific Entrance Exam:
The University of Kerala conducts its own entrance exam for various PG courses.
· MBA Programs:
For MBA programs, the university accepts national and state-level entrance exams like CAT, CMAT and KMAT.
Eligibility Criteria (For Undergraduate Programs)
1. Candidate must have completed the Higher Secondary Examination of the State of Kerala or an examination accepted by the University as equivalent.
2. Candidate must have scored specific marks or percentages required, which may vary by program.
3. Candidate may not exceed the maximum age limit of 23 years.
4. Some programs at the University of Kerala may also require candidates to appear for the CUET.

6. Submit Documents:
After registration, submit the printout of your application along with the fee payment receipt to the relevant department (SDE Director for SDE students, or the Controller of Examinations for private students).
7. Verification of Originals:
All admissions are provisional and are only confirmed after the university verifies your original certificates.
