LLB or Legum Baccalaureus is an undergraduate law degree program. For pursuing law, there are two options a 3-year course and an integrated 5-year course. The Law as education was offered in India in the year 1987 as a three-year degree program granted under the Advocate Act, 1961.
The BCI (Bar Council of India) is the main regulatory body of Law education. The student who passed this degree is designated as the Lawyer and that has to be done before the entry into the court activities and practice.
The program targets various fields of law including labor law, criminal law, contractual law, family law, legal writing, and many others. The course offers a broad understanding of constitutional law and its different sections to enable law aspirants in understanding the various case studies in the legal history of India.
Eligibility Criteria for LLB (Bachelor of Law)
1. Some colleges also fix a minimum percentage requirement that candidates need to fulfill in order to secure admission in the three-year LLB course offered by them.
2. The (minimum) percentage requirement for General category candidates ranges from 45% to 55% and for SC/ST category candidates it ranges between 35% to 45%.

1. Some colleges generate them cut-off list, and if one has scored within the asked criteria, then he or she becomes eligible to take admission an LLB course.
