Aeronautical Engineering is a 4 year UG course. This branch of engineering deals with the research, design, development, construction, testing, science, and technology of aircraft Some of the institutes also offer this course as a specialization of aerospace engineering.
The curriculum of B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering covers various fields such as planning, designing, structures, aerodynamics, impetus, streamlined features, and frameworks of aircraft. This field of engineering comprises the study of designing and building aircraft such as airplanes and helicopters.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognized Board and also should have secured more than or equivalent to 60% aggregate in their qualifying examination in the science stream. It is compulsory for the applicants to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Aeronautical Engineering is offered by many engineering colleges in India. The admission process of the BTech program is done through the entrance exams such as - JEE Main, JEE Advanced, MHCET, KCET, and other exams.
Those students who have completed Polytechnic, a diploma program, after Std. 10th, can take lateral entry examinations and directly get admitted to the second year.
CAREER & Jobs OPPORTUNITIES
There are a lot of opportunities for Aeronautical engineering graduates, the opportunities in the core profile are better outside India. However, there are a few government organizations that offer high-paying jobs in this field. Specialize in the creation and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft-related technologies for improved functioning of the aviation and defense industry.
