College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (CVSAH), Selesih

College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (CVSAH) is a Government College, Located in Selesih, North Aizawl (Mizoram). This College was Established in the Year 1995, through the promulgation of an ordinance (No. M-2 of 1995 ; dated 20th February 1995). Affiliated to Central Agricultural University (CAU) and Approved by Veterinary Council Of India (VCI), New Delhi & Govt. of India (GOI). Campus is Spread Over 168.61 Acres of Land Area. College is about 12 km away from Aizawl, the capital city of MIZORAM, on the Aizawl-Sihphir-Silchar sub-highway.

Mandate :

* To impart education in different branches of Veterinary sciences & Animal Husbandry;

* To further the advancement of learning and prosecution of research on Veterinary sciences &  Animal Husbandry;

* To undertake programmes of extension education in states under jurisdiction;

* To undertake such other activities as it may deem fit from time to time.

Vision :

To be a Centre of Excellence in teaching, research and extension education in the field of veterinary and Animal sciences.

Mission :

To cater teaching, research and extension need of the North-Eastern Hill region of India to benefit the Animals, People and Environment through promotion of Animal health, alleviation of animal suffering, efficient and responsible animal production, conservation of animals and broader ecological resources and protection of public health.
