The Rajasthan Scholarship, administered by the Government of Rajasthan, offers financial assistance to meritorious and underprivileged students to pursue higher education.
Managed primarily by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJE) and other state departments, these scholarships target students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Special Backward Classes (SBC), and Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT).
Objective of Rajasthan Scholarship
While the Rajasthan Scholarship schemes aim to uplift marginalized communities, the reliance on online applications can be a barrier for students in rural areas with limited internet access or digital literacy. The strict income and merit criteria may also exclude some deserving candidates who narrowly miss the thresholds.
Additionally, delays in fund disbursement or verification processes have been reported in past years, which can affect students’ ability to pay fees on time. Applicants should apply early, double-check documents, and monitor application status to mitigate such issues. Financial support for tuition and maintenance.
