CAT scorecard contains, not the raw score but scaled score of every candidate. Most of the candidate are confused about,'what is scaled score in CAT?' . to explain in simple words, CAT scaled score means that the marks of a candidate is arrived at after normalizing it on the same scale as other candidates. This is done to ensure that no candidate is at disadvantage due to a tougher CAT question paper in their slot. For example, the CAT 2025 slot 3 was the toughest so to ensure the slot 3 candidates don't lose marks, the scores of all 2.58 test takers have been scaled before CAT percentile conversion.
Validity and Next Steps

· IIM CAP 2026: The Common Admission Process for the newer IIMs is expected to begin its schedule in the second week of January 2026
