ABOUT US

Government Engineering College , MUNGER was established in the year 2019 and run by DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE ,TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION, BIHAR GOVERNMENT, as one of 38 college setup under vision of Hon’ble chief minister NITISH KUMAR under his leadership with his SAT NISHCHAY PROGRAM-1 SABH PADHE SAB BADHE . GEC MUNGER is a prestigious engineering college offering five B.Tech programs Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi; recognized by Govt. of Bihar; Permanently affiliated to Bihar Engineering University Patna (in past it was affiliated to Aryabhata Knowledge University Patna .

The total number of students is about 750 and that of faculty is 28, out of which, 8 are Ph.D’s (41%) ensuring healthy faculty student ratio. Our faculties alma mater belongs to prestigious institution. The research activity on campus is woven in pursuance of its vision & mission statements around the philosophy of Inspire, Innovate and Implement to benefit the contemporary society.

It unwinds itself into different fields such as environment, PLC, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, tool design, welding, embedded systems, and low power VLSI digital system design. Emphasis is also being laid on manufacturing, automation, business analytics, big data, cloud computing, wireless technology, image processing, and next generation networks, prestress engineering, meteorological modelling, earthquake engineering, geotechnical engineering, simulation of big highways, forecasting of weathers, high rise building modelling. GEC, MUNGER has been in pursuance to get sponsored research and other activities from different agencies including DST, AICTE, UGC etc.. Internal Revenue Generation through consultancy facilitates and promotes activities pertaining to energy audit, mobile apps, drones in agriculture, agricultural tools, and material testing.
