‘Learning Never Stops at GIM’ defines the ethos of the GIM PGDM programmes – that learning at GIM is a holistic continuous process. Out of class activities like student clubs; experience of living on a diverse campus interacting with students from all states of the country, different academic disciplines, varied religious backgrounds; a good measure of exposure to international students through student exchange programs as well as the India immersion programs GIM conducts for students from the United States, Belgium and Poland; the uniqueness of GIM being the only campus in India that has a capella choir, a rock band, a theatre group, a film and photography group and several other such interesting opportunities for experiential learning; being part of GIMs much appreciated and awarded social sensitivity and community engagement program called Give Goa and several other such opportunities of holistic learning than complement our rigorous classroom based programmes. We are forging ahead in our journey and earning recognition for our progress. During 2018-19, we earned our first International accreditation SAQS which is modelled on the EFMD Equis accreditation. We are proud to be an accredited Institution and look forward to work with similar Institutions in South Asia. We continue our journey for other International accreditations. 

After the immense success of our Health Care Management programme and more recently our Big Data Analytics programme, this year we are introducing our fourth full time programme. This is a two-year full time PGDM programme in new age Banking, Financial Services & Insurance.

This sector is the fastest growing sector of economy and we feel that this programme will provide opportunity for GIM contributing to talent required for economy of the country and provide a good career path to our students. We have worked with highly reputed organisations and conceptualised a curriculum with significant exposure to real life practices and the concept of new age banking, technology and regulatory framework.We introduced PGDM-Big Data Analytics in 2018. This was one of the earliest management programme in the country focussed on exciting field of Big Data with an aim to create Data literate managers for tomorrow’s needs. We believe that the technology skills, while important will diminish in utility as the tools become more and more capable and intelligence built in the software processes, but understanding of data will be vital for managers. The programme has performed very well and we doubled our student intake in 2019.We had introduced PGDM-Healthcare Management in 2013 when we set out to build Asia’s Best Comprehensive Healthcare Management Programme with emphasis on various facets of healthcare management. In a span of six years, 5 batches of students have passed out and the programme has begun to make an impact.

Today it is arguably the best healthcare management programme in the country and is growing from strength to strength. All the batches witnessed 100% placement with excellent response from the employers about the talent of the pass outs.

The most recent pass out batch had an average salary of Rs. 9.5 lacs and a highest of Rs. 23 lacs.The flagship PGDM programme builds on long years’ excellence in management education nurturing business leaders with personal integrity, social responsibility and global outlook. Our students get a thorough understanding of Indian Business Reality and a deep International perspective.

Our International Linkages reflect this perspective and provide an opportunity for the student to hone their skills in the International settings.We, of course, continue to have excellent placement record and alumni occupying prestigious positions as executives and entrepreneurs.

Our part time PGDM programme continues to attract Goa based executives and administrators, looking for formal learning opportunity, while continuing to work.Activities in our Atal Incubation Centre are broadening and deepening.

Our first cohort was of 6 start-ups and have started admitting the second cohort of start-ups this year.The GIM campus is a green campus and this year we continued efforts to sensitize students and faculty about sustainability, work toward making GIM a zero-waste campus and also to have a substantial portion of our power needs to be met through solar energy.
