GITAM Dental College was established in the year 2001, is a departmental college of GITAM University, Vishakhapatnam which is a state-private university.
The college is affiliated with NTR University of Health Sciences and is approved by the Dental Council of India, Govt. of India. Gautam Dental College and Hospital Vishakhapatnam were started to serve students with the best dental care and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses viz., Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS). Admissions to the BDS are based on the marks secured in the NEET UG entrance exam and for MDS, applicants must have a BDS degree and qualifying marks in NEET PG.
Admissions to the course will be on the basis of their scores in the NEET UG entrance exam conducted by CBSE. In BDS, 40 seats are reserved under Management Quota and 10 seats will be allotted through AP EAMCET ranks by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
