BASIC INFASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES FOR MEDICAL COLLEGE AND ATTACHED HOSPITAL FACILITIES
A) LAND:
The Government of Telangana has a plot of land of measuring Ac. 25.00 gts. The hospital is on the existing plot of land and the college is coming up on the same piece of land at Kumuram Bheem Asifabad town.
B) BUILDINGS:
A functioning Hospital with 330 beds is at place and is operational as per NMC norms. There are all basic specialities with adequate clinical material. The Telangana State Medical Services Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC), an agency of the Government of Telangana is constructing a 430 bedded hospital (430 teaching beds) as per the National Medical Commission regulations.
The Buildings of the College, Students and Resident Hostels and Staff quarters etc., will be constructed as per the NMC regulations in a time bound manner.
C) EQUIPMENT:
At present the Teaching Hospital is planned with 430 teaching beds and all the required equipment as per the NMC guidelines for 100 admissions annually. The College Equipment will be provided as per the NMC regulations by the TSMSIDC for the first year departments and further as per time bound programme.
D) HOUSING:
Government Medical College, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad will provide housing/hostel facility to teaching staff, hospital staff, Para-medical staff, students and interns as per the NMC norms. Permanent staff quarters and residential quarters will be constructed by the TSMSIDC for Housing of Staff, both teaching and non- teaching.
