ABOUT US

Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum has bagged “2014 International Quality Award” instituted by BID Group One of USA. BID Group One, USA has presented this special recognition award under the Gold Category recognizing the immeasurable contribution to the world for high standing and professionalism, practices of quality, awareness and excellence in innovation demonstrated by VTU during the last three years.


BID is a global consultancy firm dedicated to spreading performance excellence in both the public and private sectors worldwide. Every year BID holds International Quality Summit Convention in New York, USA, where BID Group recognizes the achievements of various organizations by way of International Quality Summit (IQS) Award.

Recently, VTU has implemented number of innovative Initiatives to promote planned and sustainable development of technical education in the country.To meet the 21st century challenges, University has continued its efforts on all fronts particularly research and development activities to become globally competitive.

On this occasion Dr. H. Maheshappa, Vice Chancellor of VTU said that, “the IQS Award is much more than just a prize. It symbolizes VTU’s belief in practices of quality, awareness and excellence in innovation”. “VTU is always committed to continuous improvement and has maintained a visible track record of innovation during the last three years”, he added.
